Best 5 Books For Millennial Women

Best 5 Books For Millennial Women

3.24.2017

In the last two years and a half, I turned my life around for the better. I decided I wouldn't be stuck in the situation I was in anymore (I had hit rock bottom and was indulging in self-pity), so I embraced a new era of fighting for what I always wanted for myself.

Like most people, I started off strong and super determined to succeed regardless of everything. And, like most people, I encountered life along the way.

There are some days when I feel like I can conquer the world and get out of my comfort zone to achieve the impossible. There are other days- most days- when I crave routine and all I want is knowing I can rely on what I already have. Those days I just let life live for me.

It's not an easy task to always stay on top of your game and to show up regardless of how burnt out you are, but it is certainly easier to go back to your best self if you have the right guidance.

These books have helped me- and continue to help me- keep motivated and find the light at the end of the tunnel, so I hope they do the same for you.

5. Think and Grow Rich- Napoleon Hill

This book is very old-fashioned in terms of the role of women in the world, but heck! It was written in the 1930s! Regardless of certain subtle statements along the way, the message is the best advice for anyone- not just millennial women.

If you want to know the certified way to achieve your dreams and a bullet proof path to make them a reality, you have got to read this book.

4. Now, Discover Your Strengths- Marcus Buckingham Donald O. Clifton

It doesn't matter if your goal is to be the Founder and CEO of the new coolest company or if you want to climb up the corporate ladder, knowing your strengths is the best thing you can do. We are all wired differently, that's why sometimes the things that seem easy to us are not easy at all to other people. Have you ever heard the saying "common sense is the least common of them all"? Well, this book explains why. This also comes in handy if you are thinking about joining forces with friends to venture on a new project or if you need to hire new employees. This book will give you a whole new perspective on the understanding of human behavior.

3. Unshakeable: Your Financial Freedom Playbook- Tony Robbins

You don't need to understand numbers to know you don't want to be broke. Tony Robbins has a way to transfer all of his drive and passion through the words he writes. It feels like he is talking to you! And he hates to see people suffering, so he knows one of the main reasons people suffer is because of money. He interviewed the world's best financial advisers and "money people" to put together a simple step book to make sure you can achieve financial freedom.

2. #Girlboss- Sophia Amoruso

This book should be the bible of all millennial women who are or want to be entrepreneurs. Sophia takes you through her life journey and how she went from crashing on friends' couches to owning a multi-million clothing company. If you ever had any doubt of whether or not you are capable of doing what you really want to do, Sophia shows you it can be done, because she did it!

1. The Universe Has Your Back: Transform Fear to Faith- Gabrielle Bernstein

Why is this book #1? Many reasons, but the most important one because I cannot get enough of it. I've read it twice and I listen to the audio book in the car all the time. This book really connects you with your spiritual self and gives you the certainty that things are just fine. If you work and love what you are working on and know deep in your heart that whatever it is you are seeking will come to you, then it will happen! Let Gabrielle ease your soul with her kind words and give this book a chance.
